Siren News Archive 5/1/01 - 8/27/01
8/27/01 Episode Eight is now available for download. In it you'll discover who set Siren up and a few more pieces to her mystery fall into place. This episode also marks the first appearance of a new Bad Guy, Mr. Greenway. Believe me, this guy is one tough mother...well, you know what I mean. This episode also spells the end of Siren's (and the director's) car, a beautiful 1991 Miata, the history of which is documented in the epic poem "Ode to A Miata". Make sure to have some tissues available before you read it.
8/13/01 Episode Seven is now available for download, and it represents a big step forward for Siren. It's the first episode in a series shot on location in the Mojave Desert. It was a big shoot (at least by our standards,) and we are very proud of it.

We've also received a wonderful notice in Episodic Review, a website devoted to online series like Siren.

The next four episodes of Siren are finished and will be posted on time. I promise. We also plan on shooting the next six by the end of September. We'll definitely keep you posted on our progress.

7/9/2001 Well, it's been a long time coming, but Episode Six is now available for download. Sorry about the long delay.

This is the first episode which does not feature Elena Evangelo. (She was pretty pissed.) Instead you get to meet the dangerous characters who are hunting her, Mr. Black and Mr. White. Believe me, these are not the kind of guys you want to mess with.

The Yahoo listing has been a tremendous boom for Team Effort. We've been consistently listed among their top 10 Action/Adventure shows and among their top 5 webisodes.

We've also finally posted a long overdue bio for the incomparable Karen P. Morris. Karen is one of the pillars of Team Effort Films, and it's about time you learned a little bit about her.

April has been a big month for Siren. We were recently listed on Yahoo, which has brought a stream of new visitors to the website. Hopefully they will all become rabid fans.

We have also made contact with a lot of other independent filmmakers on the web, and we've begun talking about ways to pool our resources, sort of a "team effort" if you will. (Sorry, I lost control.)

If you get a chance, you should definitely check out darkcommandos.com. It's a great series about a team of vampires, featuring a lot of action and incredible special effects. If you like Siren, I think it will be right up your alley.

Episode Five is now available for download. It represents a big change of pace for the show, a little less action, a little more soul searching.

In other great news, our composer, James Levine, is now writing the score for the new hit sitcom, What About Joan. Jimmy is one of the most talented people we know. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
